It does help but it has a kind of foaming action so the expansion has all these bubbles in it that makes it weaker. The Titebond glue works into the wood and bonds to it. It provides strong initial tack, sands easily without softening, and is FDA approved for indirect food contact (cutting boards). Cleans up with water – use a damp cloth while glue is wet.
