Hitting the brakes doesn't affect it. Turning to the left seemed to make it harder to hear, turning right had no effect. Switching to 4WD does not make the sound go away. It sounds like a WAMP WAMP WAMP. It doesn't seem to happen when you don't apply the brake. It's coming from the front left. Webb14 aug. 2024 · I can’t hear it on the video with volume turned up. Brake shield is possible, but it’s a distinctive tin rattle. Easy to fix, go underneath with a putty knife, plastic if you are concerned with scratching rotor. Check the plastic wheel well liner and lower splash shield to make sure they are secure. With the wheel turned and enough air pressure behind one of those plastic shields, it can contact the wheel and make a scraping sound. At least it's something quick, easy and free to check.
